Adding replace/addon clothes

Running custom or replacement clothing? This walks you through generating thumbnails for all of it automatically.
Do this on an empty server with nobody online, and try not to touch your PC while the capture is running — it needs the resources.

What you’ll need

  • uz_AutoShot  — free and open source.
  • yarn — already bundled with FiveM.

Step 1

Grab uz_AutoShot  and drop it directly into your resources folder. Don’t tuck it inside a subfolder like resources/[scripts] — it’ll break if you do.

Step 2

In your server.cfg, make sure both uz_AutoShot and nexus-appearance are started. Restart the server and load in.

Double-check that Config.UZAutoShotCompatibility is true in shared/config.lua — that’s what tells the appearance menu to read previews from uz_AutoShot.

Step 3

Type /shotmaker in-game to open the capture studio, then kick off the batch run for clothing, overlays, and tattoos. There’s no copying to do afterwards — the menu reads the images straight from uz_AutoShot.

Step 4

Restart the server, load back in, and you’re done.

Handy Commands

/shotmaker -- Opens the capture studio to take clothing screenshots /wardrobe -- Browse the thumbnails you've generated
